Essential for our printing line
These dyne pens are incredibly consistent. We use them daily to check corona treatment on our packaging films, and the results are always reliable. The 38 and 40 dyne levels are our most frequently used.

Accurate and durable
We switched from another brand to A.Shine and noticed better consistency in our test results. The brush tip holds up well even after hundreds of tests. Highly recommended for QC departments.

Perfect for lab testing
Clear color contrast makes it easy to see if the ink beads up or spreads. This has streamlined our quality control process significantly. The range of dyne levels available is very convenient.

Reliable standard
These pens meet our ISO requirements for surface tension testing. They are easy to use and store. Just make sure to recap them tightly immediately after use to prevent evaporation.

Good quality, fast drying
The liquid applies smoothly and dries quickly enough to give an immediate read on surface energy. I deducted one star only because the cap can be a bit tight sometimes, but the accuracy is spot on.
Q: Do you sell a kit containing all the dyne levels mentioned?
A: Yes, we offer a complete set including levels 28 through 42 mN/m. You can select the 'Full Range Kit' option on the product page to purchase them together at a discounted rate.
Q: Are these pens calibrated to international standards?
A: Yes, A.Shine dyne pens are manufactured to align with standard ASTM D2578 testing methods for surface wetting tension of polyethylene and polypropylene.
Q: Can these pens be used on metal surfaces?
A: While primarily designed for plastics and films, they can technically be used on coated metals. However, they are optimized for non-porous polymer surfaces where corona treatment is common.
Q: How do I interpret the results when using these pens?
A: If the applied liquid remains as a continuous film for at least 2 seconds, the surface tension is equal to or greater than the pen's rating. If it beads up immediately, the surface tension is lower.
Q: What is the shelf life once the bottle is opened?
A: Once opened, the solution should be used within 3 to 6 months depending on storage conditions. Always keep the cap tightly sealed and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
