Reliable testing tool
Very satisfied with the performance. The ink dries at the correct rate to give a clear pass/fail result. Would prefer if they came in a bulk pack option.

Essential for our printing line
These German-made pens are incredibly consistent. We use the 38 and 42 sizes daily for checking film treatment before printing. The ink flow is perfect every time.

High quality and reliable
We switched from a cheaper brand to ARCOTEST and noticed immediately better reliability in our corona treatment verification. Worth the investment for quality control.

Good product, fast shipping
The pens work exactly as described. I ordered size 34A and it arrived quickly. Only giving 4 stars because the cap can be a bit tight to remove sometimes.
Q: What is the proper technique for using these test pens?
A: Draw a continuous line about 2-3 inches long on a clean surface. If the line remains intact for 2 seconds without beading up, the surface tension is equal to or higher than the pen's value.
Q: Can these pens be used on metal surfaces?
A: Yes, ARCOTEST pens are suitable for measuring surface tension on metals, plastics, glass, and ceramics, making them versatile for many industrial applications.
Q: Is there a certificate of analysis included with the pens?
A: Yes, each batch comes with a calibration certificate verifying the dyne level accuracy according to ISO standards. You can request a digital copy via our support portal.
Q: How long does the ink last once the pen is opened?
A: Once opened, the pen should typically be used within 6 months for optimal accuracy, provided the cap is sealed tightly after each use to prevent evaporation.
Q: What does the 'A' suffix mean in sizes like 32A or 34A?
A: The 'A' indicates a specific formulation adjusted for certain substrate types, offering slightly different wetting characteristics compared to the standard number series.
