Works well but cap is tight
The testing fluid works perfectly fine and gives accurate readings. My only complaint is that the cap can be a bit difficult to remove sometimes, likely to prevent drying out though.

Perfect for coating validation
Using this to validate surface energy before applying adhesives. The distinction between the 34 and 38 dyne marks is very clear. Great tool for preventing adhesion failures.

Good quality, fast drying
The fluid dries quickly which is great for production speed, but you have to be sharp when observing the bead-up. Overall a solid German-made product that performs as expected.

Essential for our printing line
We use these pens daily to check the corona treatment on our polyethylene films. The 34 and 38 dyne levels are exactly what we needed for our specific ink adhesion tests. Very reliable results.

Accurate and consistent
I've tried cheaper alternatives before, but they gave inconsistent readings. This SHEELON pen provides clear wetting behavior every time. Highly recommended for QC departments.
Q: Can this pen be used on metal surfaces?
A: While primarily designed for plastics and films, it can technically be used on coated metals. However, dyne pens are most accurate on non-porous polymer surfaces where surface tension affects adhesion.
Q: Is the fluid toxic or hazardous?
A: The fluid contains formamide and other solvents. It should be used in a well-ventilated area. Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) included with the product for full handling instructions.
Q: How long does the solution last once the pen is opened?
A: Under normal storage conditions with the cap tightly sealed after each use, the solution typically remains effective for 6 to 12 months. Avoid exposing the tip to air for extended periods.
Q: What does it mean if the fluid beads up immediately?
A: If the fluid beads up within two seconds, the surface energy of the material is lower than the dyne level of the pen. You may need to increase your corona treatment settings.
Q: Do you offer bulk discounts for purchasing multiple pens?
A: Yes, we offer tiered pricing for bulk orders suitable for large manufacturing facilities. Please contact our sales team directly with your required quantity for a custom quote.
