Good value for money
Works as expected for quick quality control checks. The ink dries relatively fast, so you need to observe the bead-up immediately. Would recommend buying a set of different levels.

Decent but cap can be tight
The testing fluid works fine, but sometimes the cap is very hard to remove, which slows down the workflow. Otherwise, the measurement seems accurate compared to our lab equipment.

Reliable testing tool
Been using Sheelon pens for years. They are accurate and the tips hold up well even with frequent use. Great for ensuring adhesion before applying labels or inks.

Essential for our printing line
We use these pens daily to check the corona treatment on our packaging films. The 34 dyne level is perfect for our current setup. Results are consistent and easy to read.

Standard industry tool
Does exactly what a dyne pen should do. The liquid spreads clearly on treated surfaces and beads up on untreated ones. Shipping was fast and packaging was secure.
Q: Can this pen be used on metal surfaces?
A: These pens are primarily designed for non-porous polymer surfaces like plastic films and foils. While they can technically be applied to metal, the results may not correlate standardly with plastic surface tension metrics.
Q: What is the difference between the 32, 34, and 36 levels?
A: The number represents the surface tension in mN/m (milli-Newtons per meter). You select the level that matches your required adhesion threshold. If the liquid beads up, the surface tension is lower than the pen value; if it wets the surface, it is higher.
Q: Is the ink toxic or hazardous?
A: The fluid contains formamide and other solvents. It should be used in a well-ventilated area. Please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) included with the product for detailed handling and disposal instructions.
Q: Do you offer bulk discounts for purchasing a full set?
A: Yes, we offer tiered pricing for bulk orders. Please contact our sales team directly through the 'Contact Seller' button on our store page to discuss volume pricing for multiple units or mixed level sets.
Q: How long does the test liquid last once the pen is opened?
A: Once opened, the pen should typically last for several months if the cap is tightly sealed after every use to prevent evaporation. For best accuracy, replace if the fluid volume drops significantly or results become inconsistent.
