Good accuracy, fast drying
The ink dries quickly which helps in getting immediate results on the production floor. I wish the cap sealed a bit tighter to prevent evaporation during long storage.
Q: How should I store these pens to maximize their lifespan?
A: Store them horizontally in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keeping them at room temperature (around 20-25°C) is ideal.
Q: What is the difference between size 38 and size 40?
A: The number indicates the surface tension level in mN/m (dynes/cm). Size 38 tests for 38 mN/m, while size 40 tests for 40 mN/m. You choose the size based on your required adhesion threshold.
Q: Can these pens be used on metal surfaces?
A: While primarily designed for plastics and films, they can technically be used on clean metal surfaces to measure surface energy, though results may vary depending on oxidation or coatings.
Q: How long does the test liquid last once the tube is opened?
A: For best accuracy, we recommend using the pen within 3 to 6 months after opening. Always ensure the cap is tightly sealed immediately after use to prevent evaporation.
