Best value for money
I've tried expensive branded straps before, but these Decathlon ones perform just as well for half the price. The palm guard provides excellent friction against the knurling of the barbell.

Great quality, slight break-in period
The leather is very thick and durable, which is great for longevity but meant they were a bit stiff at first. After a week of gym sessions, they molded perfectly to my hands. No more slipping bars.

Solid construction
Very robust stitching and high-quality leather. I deducted one star only because the black dye transferred slightly to my hands during the first two uses, but that stopped quickly.

Comfortable and secure

Perfect for pull-up assists
While marketed for deadlifts, I use these primarily for weighted pull-ups. They wrap securely around the bar and allow me to focus on my back muscles rather than worrying about my grip failing.

Essential for heavy deadlift days
These straps have completely changed my grip endurance. The cowhide material feels premium and doesn't stretch out even after months of heavy use. Highly recommended for anyone stuck by their grip strength.
Q: Can beginners use these or are they for advanced lifters only?
A: Beginners can certainly use them, especially if they are working on form with lighter weights and want to learn the strapping technique early. However, we encourage developing natural grip strength before relying on aids for every set.
Q: Do these come in different colors?
A: Currently, the RFJ9 model is only available in Black with Grey Stitching. We occasionally update our color ranges, so please check the website regularly for new arrivals.
Q: What is the maximum weight capacity for these straps?
A: While we do not specify an exact weight limit, the genuine cowhide and reinforced stitching are tested to withstand loads significantly higher than typical recreational lifting standards, exceeding 300kg safely.
Q: How do I clean the leather if it gets sweaty?
A: Simply wipe the straps down with a lightly damp cloth after your workout and let them air dry naturally. Avoid using harsh chemicals or submerging them in water, as this can damage the leather.
Q: Are these straps suitable for Olympic weightlifting?
A: These straps are designed primarily for pulling movements like deadlifts and rows. For Olympic lifts where quick release is necessary, we recommend our dedicated hook grips or nylon straps instead.
