Good value for handmade fabric
For the price, the quality is impressive. There are slight variations in the weave which proves it is genuinely handmade. Just be aware it might shrink a tiny bit, so pre-wash before cutting.

Perfect for my living room curtains
The check pattern is exactly as shown in the photos. The coarse linen texture adds a wonderful rustic charm to my windows. It hangs beautifully and blocks just enough light without being too heavy.

Great quality, slightly stiff at first
Bought this to reupholster a vintage armchair. The fabric is very durable and the handmade feel is authentic. It was a bit stiff out of the package but softened up nicely after the first wash.
Q: What is the repeat size of the check pattern?
A: The check pattern repeats every 2.5 inches (approximately 6.35 cm), making it ideal for matching seams on larger projects like sofas or full-length curtains.
Q: Is this fabric pre-shrunk before selling?
A: No, this handmade fabric is sold in its natural state. We strongly advise washing and drying it according to care instructions before starting your project to account for any natural shrinkage.
Q: Can I dye this fabric a different color?
A: Yes, since it is a natural cotton-linen blend, it accepts fiber-reactive dyes very well. Please note that the existing check pattern will still show through unless you choose a very dark dye color.
Q: Is this fabric suitable for outdoor use?
A: While durable, this cotton-linen blend is best suited for indoor applications like curtains and upholstery. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and rain may cause fading or mildew over time.
Q: Does this fabric fray easily when cut?
A: Like most natural linen blends, it can fray if left unfinished. We recommend using a zigzag stitch, serger, or hemming the edges immediately after cutting for best results.
