Does what it says
Latency is low enough for our monitoring application. Wish it had more digital inputs, but for the size, it's compact.

Great for Student Projects
Bought five for our robotics lab. Students find the wiring terminals easy to use. No failures so far.

Solid build, docs need work
Hardware is excellent and isolated well. Had to guess some register addresses initially as the manual was vague. Once configured, it's been running for weeks.

Perfect for Home Automation
Integrated smoothly with my ESP32 setup. The MODBUS library worked flawlessly. Relays click loudly but feel sturdy.

Reliable I/O Expansion
Using this to expand inputs on a small PLC. Communication is stable over long cables. Good value for the price point.
Q: Is this compatible with Arduino Uno?
A: Yes, you need an RS485 shield or converter module to connect the TX/RX lines. Use a MODBUS library.
Q: Are the inputs dry contact or voltage type?
A: The digital inputs are opto-isolated and accept voltage signals typically between 5V and 30V DC.
Q: What is the maximum wire length for RS485 here?
A: Standard RS485 specs apply, up to 1200 meters depending on baud rate and cable quality.
Q: Does it come with a power supply?
A: No, the module requires an external DC power supply within the 5V-30V range.
Q: Can I control this via Python on a Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, using a USB to RS485 adapter and Python MODBUS libraries like pymodbus.
