Good value for money
Works exactly as described. The steel feels robust and the machining is precise. Took off one star because the set screws could be slightly longer.

Perfect for my CNC router
This coupling is extremely solid. The clamping mechanism holds the shaft tightly without any slip, even under heavy cutting loads. Great build quality.

Sturdy and reliable
Replaced a flexible coupling with this rigid one to improve accuracy. The difference in cut quality is noticeable. Highly recommended for rigid setups.

Excellent for high torque
No issues with torque transmission. The clamp shell design distributes pressure evenly. Very happy with this purchase for my workshop.

Solid construction
The 45# steel is hard and well-finished. It fits my motor shaft perfectly. Just make sure you align your motor and spindle well before tightening.

High precision indeed
I use this for a high-speed engraving motor. There is absolutely no vibration or wobble. The integrated design makes installation very quick.
Q: What is the maximum RPM this can handle?
A: Due to its rigid and balanced design, it is suitable for high-speed applications typically found in engraving motors, often exceeding 10,000 RPM depending on the specific shaft diameter and balance of the entire assembly.
Q: Does this coupling require keys or just set screws?
A: This is a keyless clamping type coupling. It secures the shaft using high-strength set screws that tighten the integrated clamp shell.
Q: Can this compensate for misalignment?
A: No, this is a rigid coupling. It does not compensate for angular or parallel misalignment. Precise alignment between the motor and the driven shaft is critical before installation.
Q: Do I need to lubricate the coupling before installation?
A: No lubrication is required for the clamping surfaces. In fact, keeping them clean and dry ensures the best friction grip. You may apply a drop of thread locker to the set screws if desired.
Q: Is this compatible with stainless steel shafts?
A: Yes, the hardened 45# steel set screws are designed to grip various standard motor shaft materials, including stainless steel, provided the shaft hardness is within standard ranges.
