Solid build quality
The carbon steel feels very robust and the black oxide finish looks professional. Took off one star because the included Allen key was a bit soft, but the coupling itself is excellent.

Reliable and sturdy
Replaced a worn-out flexible coupling with this rigid one to improve precision. The difference in positioning accuracy is noticeable immediately. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Perfect fit for my CNC upgrade
Ordered the 10mm version for my stepper motor setup. The split design made installation incredibly easy without needing to disassemble the whole shaft. The clamping force is strong and holds zero backlash.

Exactly as described
Needed a rigid coupling that wouldn't flex under load. This split-type ring is perfect. Dimensions were accurate to the spec sheet. Highly recommend for DIY machinery projects.

Good value for money
Bought a set of different sizes for our workshop. They are well-machined and the screws thread smoothly. Just ensure you torque them correctly to avoid damaging the threads.
Q: Does this coupling allow for any misalignment between shafts?
A: No, this is a rigid coupling designed for precise alignment. It does not compensate for angular or parallel misalignment; shafts must be aligned accurately before installation.
Q: How do I install this without damaging the shaft surface?
A: Clean the shaft thoroughly before installation. Tighten the set screws evenly in a cross pattern to the recommended torque specification. Using a torque wrench is highly recommended to prevent overtightening.
Q: Are replacement set screws available if I strip the threads?
A: Yes, we sell replacement hardware kits. Please provide your order number and the specific shaft diameter so we can send the correct screw size and thread pitch.
Q: Can I use this on a stainless steel shaft?
A: Yes, you can use this coupling on a stainless steel shaft provided the shaft diameter matches the coupling bore. Ensure the set screws are tightened sufficiently to prevent galvanic corrosion over time.
Q: What is the maximum operating temperature for this carbon steel coupling?
A: The standard black oxide coated carbon steel coupling can typically operate safely up to 120°C (248°F). For higher temperatures, please contact us for specialized materials.
