Good sensor, tricky wiring
Accuracy is great but pinout diagram was slightly hard to read initially. Once connected properly it works well.

Perfect for my weather station
Works flawlessly with my ESP32 setup. Reading lux values is very straightforward and the data seems accurate compared to my phone sensor.
Q: Can it measure sunlight directly?
A: It handles up to 40,000 Lux which covers direct sunlight conditions.
Q: Does it work with Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, it is fully compatible with Raspberry Pi GPIO I2C pins.
Q: What is the I2C address?
A: The default address is 0x39 but can be changed via hardware pins.
Q: Is this 5V compatible?
A: Yes, it supports 3.3V to 5V logic levels safely.
Q: Which library should I use?
A: We recommend the Adafruit TSL2561 library for Arduino projects.
