Works well but probe corrodes
The module itself is great. The probe might need replacement after a year due to corrosion if left in soil permanently.

Good module, needs calibration
Solid build quality. You need to spend time calibrating the sensitivity for different soil types, but once set it works.

Great value for money
Bought three for different pots. All working well after a month of continuous use.

Reliable switching
The LM393 comparator is stable. No false triggers noticed so far during my testing phase.
Q: Can this work with 3.3V logic microcontrollers?
A: The module operates at 5V, but the digital output is generally compatible with most 3.3V microcontrollers.
Q: What is the length of the probe?
A: The probe fork length is approximately 60mm.
Q: Can it drive a relay directly?
A: No, please use a transistor or relay module to drive higher loads safely.
Q: How do I adjust the sensitivity?
A: Use the blue potentiometer on the board. Turn clockwise to increase sensitivity.
Q: Is the output normally open or closed?
A: The digital output goes LOW when moisture exceeds the threshold setting.
