Great for RPM projects
Used this to measure fan speed on a custom cooling rig. The signal is clean and easy to read with an Arduino. Highly recommend for hobbyists.

Solid sensor
Works as expected for counting rotations. The LED indicator is bright which helps with debugging. Only wish the cable was slightly longer.

Needs precise alignment
Had trouble initially getting consistent counts. Once I aligned the motor shaft perfectly through the slot, it worked fine. Sensitivity is high.

A: Yes, provided the interrupter disk has a single slot. The frequency response supports high-speed detection within reasonable limits.
Q: Which wire color corresponds to VCC?
A: Typically, the red wire is VCC, black is GND, and white or yellow is the Signal output. Please check the PCB silkscreen to confirm.
Q: Is a slotted disk included in the package?
A: No, this package includes only the sensor module. You will need to provide your own interrupter disk or flag.
Q: Does the output pin have an internal pull-up resistor?
A: No, the output is open-collector. We recommend using an external pull-up resistor for stable logic levels.
