Works okay but triggered by sunlight changes initially. Make sure to shield it from direct heat sources.

Reliable Motion Detection
Using this for a DIY alarm system. Very responsive and the range is accurate as described.

A: Yes, it detects infrared radiation emitted by bodies, not visible light.
Q: What is the maximum detection range?
A: The maximum range is up to 7 meters in ideal conditions.
Q: Can this connect directly to a 5V Arduino?
A: Yes, connect VCC to 5V, GND to GND, and OUT to a digital input pin.
Q: Can it detect movement through glass?
A: No, PIR sensors cannot detect infrared radiation through glass.
