Good sensor, slow update rate
Accuracy is decent for the price. Just remember it can only sample every 2 seconds, so do not expect real-time rapid changes.

Perfect for Arduino Weather Station
Works flawlessly with the standard DHT library. Readings are consistent compared to my standalone hygrometer. Great value for money.

Works on Raspberry Pi GPIO
Connected directly to GPIO4 with a pull-up resistor. Python script reads data without issues. Highly recommend for home automation.

Reliable for indoor monitoring
Been running this in my server room for a month. No drift noticed. Stable connection over long wires too.

Pin was slightly bent
Sensor works fine after I straightened the pin. Packaging could be better to protect the header pins during shipping.
Q: Do I need a pull-up resistor?
A: Yes, a 10k ohm pull-up resistor between the data pin and VCC is recommended for stable communication.
Q: Which library should I use for Arduino?
A: We recommend the Adafruit DHT sensor library available in the Arduino Library Manager.
Q: Can I use this with 3.3V logic?
A: Yes, the DHT22 operates between 3.3V and 5.5V, making it compatible with most 3.3V microcontrollers.
Q: What is the maximum cable length?
A: For reliable data, keep the cable under 20 meters. Shielded cable is recommended for longer distances.
Q: Is this sensor waterproof for outdoor use?
A: No, this module is not waterproof. Please house it in a weatherproof enclosure if used outdoors.
