Perfect for Arduino Energy Monitor
Works flawlessly with my ESP32 project. Calibration was easy using the provided formula and the readings are stable.
Q: Does it support 3.3V microcontrollers?
A: Yes, but the output sensitivity is based on 5V logic. Level shifting or careful ADC scaling may be needed for 3.3V boards.
Q: Can this measure AC current?
A: Yes, the ACS712 and ACS724 chips are capable of measuring both AC and DC current effectively.
Q: Is there a library for this?
A: Many open-source libraries exist for Arduino and PlatformIO to simplify reading and calibrating the sensor data.
Q: Is the output 0-5V or centered?
A: The output is centered at VCC/2 (approximately 2.5V) when there is zero current flowing through the sensor.
Q: What wire gauge fits the terminals?
A: The screw terminals on the board can accommodate wires up to 12AWG comfortably for safe current transmission.
