Perfect fit for my MK8 setup
This heating block fits perfectly with my Makerbot style hotend. The threading is precise and it heats up evenly. Great replacement part.

Good quality aluminum
Solid build quality. It took a little bit of tightening to get the nozzle seated correctly, but once installed, it works flawlessly.

Works well but instructions needed
The part itself is excellent, but I wish it came with a small diagram for installation orientation. Figured it out eventually though.
Q: How do I prevent the nozzle from leaking?
A: Ensure you tighten the nozzle into the block while the block is hot (around 200°C). This prevents plastic from solidifying in the threads and causing gaps.
Q: Does this come with the heater cartridge and thermistor?
A: No, this listing is for the aluminum heating block only. You will need to transfer your existing heater cartridge and thermistor or purchase them separately.
Q: Is this compatible with Ender 3 printers?
A: This block is specifically designed for Makerbot MK7/MK8 style hotends. The Ender 3 typically uses a different V6 style block, so please check your current setup before purchasing.
