Solid performance
Works exactly as described. The hardened steel holds up well against glass-filled filaments. Took off one star because the shipping packaging was slightly damaged, though the part was fine.

Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
Switched to this hardened steel hotend to print carbon fiber nylon and it works flawlessly. The installation was straightforward and the temperature stability is excellent.

Great quality but pricey
The build quality is top-notch and fits my X1C perfectly. It handles high temps without issue. Only giving 4 stars because it is a bit expensive compared to third-party options.

Consistent extrusion
Since installing this 2.0 version, my layer adhesion has improved significantly when printing at higher temperatures. Highly recommend for serious makers.

A: The assembly comes standard with a 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle. However, the hotend block is compatible with other hardened steel nozzle sizes like 0.6mm if purchased separately and installed correctly.
Q: What is the maximum continuous operating temperature?
A: The hardened steel hotend is rated for continuous operation up to 300°C, making it suitable for engineering-grade materials like Polycarbonate and Nylon.
Q: How difficult is the installation for a beginner?
A: The detachable design makes it very beginner-friendly. You simply unlock the lever, remove the old unit, insert the new one, and lock it back. No complex wiring or calibration is usually required.
Q: Does this kit include the silicone sock?
A: Yes, the upgraded 2.0 assembly includes a high-temperature silicone sock pre-installed to ensure safe operation and consistent thermal performance.
