Great value, minor paper issue
The brushes are excellent quality for the price. The mixed-hair brush is my favorite for regular script. The only reason for 4 stars is that the included paper is a bit thin, so I recommend buying thicker rice paper separately for final projects.

Excellent for Spring Couplets
Bought this specifically to write Spring Couplets for the Lunar New Year. The variety of brush sizes allowed me to tackle different character styles easily. The ink stick grinds smoothly on the provided stone.

Perfect starter kit for my hobby
I wanted to try Chinese calligraphy and this set had everything I needed. The goat-hair brush is incredibly soft and great for larger strokes, while the wolf-hair offers nice control for detailed work. The included inkstone is small but functional.

Best gift for art lovers

Good quality, fast shipping
As a complete novice, I was worried about choosing the right tools. This set removed the guesswork. The instructions included were helpful. The wolf-hair brush is slightly stiffer than expected but great for seal script.
