Good variety of sizes
I appreciate having six different sizes in one pack. It covers everything from fine detail work to larger character practice. The only reason for 4 stars is that the protective tube was slightly dented upon arrival, though the brushes were safe.

Perfect starter set for my calligraphy journey

Excellent spring and control
As an art teacher, I purchased these for my students. The springiness of the bristles is impressive, allowing for excellent control over thick and thin strokes. They wash easily and retain their shape well after drying.

Beautiful craftsmanship
The attention to detail on these brushes is wonderful. The lacquered handles look elegant, and the ferrules are tight. I've used them for both calligraphy practice and light watercolor painting with great results.

Exceeded expectations for beginners
I was worried these might be too stiff or too soft, but they are just right. The wolf hair provides enough stiffness for structure while the mixed fibers offer good ink capacity. A must-have for the 'Four Treasures' collection.

Great value, one brush shed slightly
Overall a fantastic set for the price. Five of the six brushes are perfect. The largest brush shed a few hairs during the first rinse, but it didn't affect performance much. The bamboo handles feel sturdy and authentic.
