Works well but instructions needed
The product works great, but as a beginner, I wished there were some basic wiring diagrams included. Had to look up guidance online.
Q: What is the resistance of this heating rod?
A: Based on the 12V and 40W rating, the resistance is approximately 3.6 Ohms (calculated using R = V²/P).
Q: Does it come with thermal paste or screws?
A: The package includes only the heating rod itself. Thermal paste and mounting hardware must be purchased separately.
Q: How long is the wire lead?
A: The wire leads are approximately 50cm long, which is sufficient for most standard 3D printer hotend configurations.
Q: Can this be used for melting plastic other than PLA?
A: Yes, as long as your temperature controller can manage the heat output, this rod can reach temperatures suitable for ABS, PETG, and other common filaments.
Q: Is this compatible with 24V systems?
A: No, this specific model is designed strictly for 12V systems. Using it with 24V may damage the component. We do offer a 24V version in our store.
