Great quality paper
As someone who practices calligraphy, I appreciate the paper quality. It handles water-based markers and light ink washes well. The only reason for 4 stars is that I wish there were more figure examples.

Excellent step-by-step guide
The instructions are clear even for someone with zero basis in art. My son went from scribbles to drawing recognizable plum blossoms in just a week. The spiral binding stays flat on the desk which is a huge plus.

Perfect introduction to Chinese art

Contains a lot of pages for the price. The variety of subjects keeps things interesting. I would have liked a section on mixing colors, but for tracing and line work, it is fantastic.
