Effective but requires careful handling
The shielding capability is impressive; my signal meter showed a significant drop behind the fabric. However, you must be very gentle when washing it to avoid damaging the silver fibers. Follow the care instructions strictly.

Great quality material

Peace of mind for my nursery
I bought this fabric to line the curtains in my baby's room. It feels substantial and high quality. While I can't scientifically measure the radiation reduction myself, knowing it blocks Wi-Fi signals when wrapped around my phone gives me great confidence. Highly recommended for expecting mothers.

Good product, pricey
It does what it claims to do regarding signal blocking. My only hesitation is the price point compared to other options on the market. That said, the EK brand seems reliable, and the weave is tighter than cheaper alternatives I've seen.

Perfect for custom curtains
I sewed this into existing curtain linings. It was easy to work with using a standard sewing machine, though I used a heavier needle. The room feels quieter electronically, and I sleep better knowing the external signals are dampened.

Solid performance
Bought a few meters to test before committing to a whole house solution. The attenuation is real. Just remember that any gaps in coverage will let signals through, so ensure your installation overlaps well.
Q: Is the fabric safe for direct skin contact?
A: Yes, the blend includes polyester which makes it soft and generally safe for skin contact. However, individuals with specific metal sensitivities should test a small patch first.
Q: How wide is the roll when shipped?
A: The fabric comes in a standard width of 150 cm (approximately 59 inches). If you need wider coverage, we suggest overlapping two pieces by at least 2-3 inches to maintain shielding integrity.
Q: Will sewing holes in the fabric ruin the protection?
A: Small needle holes from sewing have a negligible effect on overall performance. However, avoid creating large cuts or tears. Using conductive thread for seams can further enhance continuity if needed.
Q: Can this fabric be machine washed?
A: We strongly recommend hand washing only. Machine washing, especially with spin cycles, can break the delicate silver fibers and reduce the shielding effectiveness over time.
Q: Does this block 5G signals?
A: Yes, our testing indicates that the fabric effectively attenuates frequencies commonly used by 4G and 5G networks, typically ranging from 600 MHz up to 3.5 GHz and beyond.
