Exceptional Tone and Balance

High quality but requires break-in
The craftsmanship is superb. The ebony is very hard, so it took a few days of playing to get used to the attack, but now the sound is exactly what I was looking for.

Beautiful finish
The polish on the bamboo handles is smooth and elegant. The sound is bright and projecting. I deducted one star only because shipping took slightly longer than expected.

Great upgrade from student hammers
I noticed an immediate improvement in my articulation after switching to these Tian-style hammers. The aged bamboo handle provides a comfortable grip that doesn't slip during fast passages.
Q: Does the bamboo case fit other brands of hammers?
A: The case is custom-molded for Tian-Style hammers. While other similar-sized hammers might fit, we cannot guarantee a snug fit for significantly different shapes or sizes.

A: Ebony is denser and harder than most woods, producing a brighter, more penetrating tone with clearer articulation, which is preferred for solo performances and complex repertoire.
