Perfect for my daughter's first year
This bow has been fantastic for my 10-year-old who just started cello lessons. It holds tension well and the hair quality seems very good for the price point. Her teacher approved of it immediately.

Excellent craftsmanship
The nickel silver mounting is polished beautifully, and the brazilwood has a nice grain. It produces a warm tone without being too scratchy, which is great for beginners learning control.

Good size options
Ordered the 3/4 size for my son. It fits him perfectly and isn't too heavy. The screw mechanism works smoothly. A reliable choice for school orchestra students.

Surprisingly responsive
I bought this as a backup bow for my intermediate student, but he prefers it over his more expensive one sometimes. The stick is straight and the response on the strings is clear.

Great value beginner bow
Solid construction and nice balance. The ebony frog looks elegant. I deducted one star only because it needed a slight re-hairing after six months of heavy practice, but that is expected.

A: The Qingge GD101 features a classic round stick shape, which is traditional for Brazilwood bows and offers a flexible yet stable playing experience.
Q: Is the horsehair synthetic or natural?
A: The GD101 model features high-quality natural horsehair, which provides better grip and tone production compared to synthetic alternatives.
Q: Does this bow come with a case or just the bow?
A: This listing is for the bow only. A protective tube or case is not included, but we recommend purchasing one separately to protect the hair and stick.
Q: Can I get this in a 1/8 size for a very young child?
A: Currently, the GD101 series is manufactured in sizes 1/2, 3/4, and 4/4 only. We do not have a 1/8 size available for this specific model at this time.
Q: How often should I rehair this bow?
A: For students practicing regularly, we recommend rehairing every 6 to 12 months, or whenever the hair becomes loose, dirty, or loses its ability to hold rosin.
