Great value, minor setup needed
Overall a fantastic viola for the price. The wood quality feels solid. I did take it to a local luthier to adjust the bridge and soundpost, which improved the playability significantly. Highly recommend for students.

Beautiful sound for a beginner instrument
I bought this for my daughter who is just starting lessons. The tiger-stripe finish is stunning in person, and the tone is warm and resonant. It came well-packaged and ready to play out of the box.

Good look, average bow
The viola itself is lovely with great aesthetics and decent sound. However, the included bow is quite basic and feels lightweight. I ended up buying a separate carbon fiber bow which made a huge difference.

Perfect starter viola

Solid construction
Very impressed with the build quality. The flamed maple back is genuine and looks premium. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the strings were a bit stiff initially, but they broke in after a week of playing.
