Exceeded expectations
Arrived well-packaged and in perfect condition. The antique varnish gives it a classic look, and the tonal balance across all four strings is remarkably even.

Solid handmade quality
You can tell this is genuinely handmade by the attention to detail in the purfling and scroll. The setup was good out of the box, though I adjusted the bridge slightly.

Exceptional tone for the price

Beautiful craftsmanship
The flamed maple on the back is stunning. It took a few days to break in the strings, but now the sound is warm and projecting well in my orchestra section.
