Stunning tone and beautiful craftsmanship

I upgraded from a factory-made viola to this handmade piece, and the difference is night and day. The tiger stripe pattern is gorgeous, but more importantly, the sound is rich, warm, and projects beautifully in our chamber group. It arrived perfectly set up and ready to play.

Excellent value for a performance instrument

As a semi-professional musician, I was skeptical about buying online, but this viola exceeded my expectations. The one-piece back adds a wonderful resonance. The included accessories, especially the bow and case, are of much higher quality than I anticipated for this price point.

Lovely instrument with great accessories

The viola itself is wonderful with a mellow yet clear tone. The hardshell case is sturdy and the hygrometer is a nice touch for maintenance. I gave it 4 stars only because the rosin included was a bit basic, but the instrument itself is a solid 5 stars.

Perfect for advancing students

Bought this for my daughter who is moving into advanced repertoire. Her teacher was impressed by the responsiveness and evenness across all strings. The natural varnish allows the wood to breathe and seems to be improving the tone as she plays it more.

Beautiful aesthetics and powerful projection

The tiger striping on the spruce top is visually striking under stage lights. Sonically, it cuts through an orchestra mix without sounding harsh. The ebony fittings are smooth and well-fitted. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serious step-up instrument.

Great sound, minor setup adjustment needed

The wood quality and finish are absolutely stunning. The tone is deep and complex. I did need to take it to my local luthier to adjust the bridge height slightly for my preference, but that is standard for any new instrument. Overall, very happy with this purchase.
