Perfect for abrasive filaments

I switched to this hardened steel hotend specifically to print carbon fiber PLA, and it has been flawless. The installation on my X1 Carbon was straightforward, taking less than 10 minutes. No clogs so far after 2kg of filament.

Great upgrade but pricey

The quality is excellent and feels very robust compared to the stock brass nozzle. Print quality remains high even with glass-filled nylon. Only giving 4 stars because the price is a bit steep for just one assembly.

Saved my printer

Essential for engineering materials

If you plan on printing anything abrasive, do not hesitate. This upgraded extruder handles CF-PA12 like a champ. The thermal stability seems improved as well, resulting in more consistent first layers.

Good but overkill for PLA

It works perfectly fine, but honestly, if you only print standard PLA or PETG, the stock brass nozzle is sufficient. The hardened steel takes slightly longer to heat up. Buy this only if you need the durability.
