Great durability, decent bass
These speakers are built like tanks. The waterproofing is top-notch. While the bass isn't earth-shattering, it is perfectly adequate for voice broadcasts and light background music in an outdoor setting.

Withstands extreme weather

Solid choice for public address
Bought these for a park renovation project. They handle voice announcements very well with minimal distortion. The only minor issue is that the wire clips could be slightly larger for thicker gauge cables.

Perfect for our school courtyard
We installed four of these around the campus courtyard for morning announcements and background music. The sound clarity is excellent even at high volumes, and they have survived several heavy rainstorms without any issues.
Q: Does the package include the screws for wall mounting?
A: The package includes the metal mounting bracket, but specific wall anchors and screws are not included as they depend on your wall material (brick, concrete, wood, etc.).
Q: Is there a grille cover available to protect the speaker cone further?
A: The FS-X4 comes with an integrated front grille that is part of the IP66 rating. Additional separate grilles are not necessary or available for this model.
Q: Can these speakers be connected directly to a 70V/100V line system?
A: No, the FS-X4 is designed for low impedance (8 Ohm) connections. You would need an external step-down transformer to use it with a constant voltage line system.
Q: What is the maximum cable length recommended for optimal performance?
A: For 8 Ohm speakers, we recommend keeping cable runs under 30 meters (approx. 100 feet) using 16-gauge wire to prevent significant signal loss. For longer distances, thicker gauge wire is required.
Q: Can I daisy-chain multiple speakers together?
A: Yes, you can daisy-chain multiple speakers by wiring them in parallel or series, but you must ensure the total impedance load matches your amplifier's requirements to avoid damage.
