Good performance, easy install
The spring clips make mounting very quick. Sound quality is crisp for spoken word and decent for music. Just ensure your ceiling depth can accommodate the 95mm requirement.

Clear voice announcements

Great value for commercial use
Solid build quality and clear audio reproduction. I deducted one star only because the grill paint scratched slightly during installation, but once mounted, it looks professional.
Q: What gauge wire do you recommend for runs up to 50 feet?
A: For runs up to 50 feet with an 8-ohm load, we recommend using 16-gauge speaker wire to minimize signal loss and ensure optimal power delivery.
Q: What is the exact cut-out size required for installation?
A: The required cut-out diameter is 210mm (approximately 8.27 inches). A cardboard template is included in the box to help mark your ceiling accurately.
Q: Is the back cover removable if I don't need sound isolation?
A: Yes, the back cover is detachable. However, we recommend keeping it installed to protect the internal components from dust and debris within the ceiling plenum.
Q: Does this speaker come with a transformer for 70V/100V systems?
A: No, the HiVi TD205A is designed for low impedance (8 Ohm) direct connection. For 70V/100V systems, you will need to purchase an external line matching transformer.
Q: Can these be used outdoors under a covered patio?
A: While the back cover offers some protection, the TD205A is rated for indoor use only. It does not have an IP rating for moisture or weather resistance suitable for outdoor environments.
