Does the job well
Solid construction and fits nicely into the trench. Dirt doesn't seem to get inside easily thanks to the snug lid. Would recommend for residential use.

Great value for money
Bought a pack for our community garden project. Everyone was happy with the quality. The key slot works well with standard valve keys, making access quick and easy for maintenance.

Good quality, easy install
Installed four of these over the weekend. They fit standard 6-inch pipes perfectly. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the green color fades slightly after a few months of direct sun exposure, but functionality remains great.

Sturdy and reliable
I've used cheaper brands before that cracked within a year. This VB708 model feels much more robust. It has survived two winters and a lawnmower running over it once without any damage.

Perfect for my irrigation system
These valve boxes are exactly what I needed for my backyard sprinkler setup. The plastic is thick and durable, and the lid snaps on securely without being too hard to remove when I need to adjust the valves.
Q: Can this be used in freezing climates?
A: Yes, the HDPE material is flexible and resistant to cracking in freezing temperatures, making it suitable for cold climates provided it is installed below the frost line.
Q: Does this come with a riser or just the box?
A: This package includes only the valve box and lid. Risers and fittings must be purchased separately based on your specific installation depth requirements.
Q: Is the 6-inch measurement for the inner or outer diameter?
A: The 6-inch specification refers to the nominal size compatible with standard 6-inch piping; the inner diameter is slightly larger to allow for easy pipe insertion and adjustment.
Q: Can this valve box withstand heavy vehicle traffic?
A: This model is designed for light-duty applications such as pedestrian areas, turf, or gardens. It is not rated for heavy vehicle traffic or driveways.
Q: What tool is needed to open the lid?
A: The lid features a standard key slot compatible with most universal valve box keys available at hardware stores.
