Safe for pets and kids

Effective against cockroaches
I placed one in the kitchen and another in the basement. Noticed a significant drop in cockroach sightings within a week. The ultrasonic frequency seems to bother them enough to leave.

Decent but takes time
It didn't kill the flies immediately as I hoped, but after running it for three days continuously, the activity decreased significantly. It's more of a deterrent than an instant killer.

Good for small rooms
Works well in my home office which is about 400 sq ft. The USB charging is convenient. I deducted one star because the night light is a bit bright for sleeping, but I just put a piece of tape over it.

Finally a quiet solution!
