Smooth flow, nice aesthetic
The sand doesn't clump up like cheaper hourglasses I've owned. The base is sturdy. Took off one star because the 5-minute one runs slightly fast.
Q: Can I refill the sand if it runs out or gets mixed?
A: No, these hourglasses are sealed at the factory to ensure precise timing and are not designed to be opened or refilled.
Q: How accurate is the timing compared to a stopwatch?
A: Our timers are calibrated to be within +/- 5% of the stated time, which is standard for decorative sand timers. They are ideal for general time management but not for scientific precision.
Q: Are the materials safe for toddlers?
A: Yes, all materials including the plastic base and colored sand are non-toxic. However, due to small glass parts, adult supervision is advised for children under 3.
Q: Is the glass break-resistant if dropped?
A: While made from durable borosilicate glass, it is not shatterproof. We recommend using it on stable surfaces, especially around young children.
Q: Do you sell a 60-minute version?
A: Currently, we only offer 5, 10, and 30-minute durations. A 60-minute model is not available at this time.
