Good but needs external fan
The controller itself is fine, but remember you need a robust heat sink and fan system on the hot side of the TEC plate, which is not included. Once set up properly, it works well.

Excellent stability for lab use
We integrated this controller into our optical testing setup. The 0.1°C stability is accurate as advertised, and the temperature settles very quickly. Highly recommended for precision applications.

Great value, minor manual issues
The unit works perfectly for cooling our small reaction chamber. The only downside is that the user manual could be more detailed regarding the RS485 wiring diagram. Otherwise, solid hardware.
Q: What is the maximum temperature difference (Delta T) this system can achieve?
A: Under optimal load conditions with adequate heat dissipation on the hot side, the system can achieve a Delta T of approximately 60°C to 65°C below ambient temperature.
Q: Does this controller come with the Peltier cooling plate included?
A: Yes, the TCB-NA package includes both the digital temperature controller unit and the matched semiconductor cooling plate module.
Q: Does it support heating as well as cooling?
A: Yes, by reversing the polarity output automatically, the controller can drive the TEC module to heat the target area as well as cool it, maintaining bidirectional temperature control.
Q: Is the sensor replaceable if it gets damaged?
A: Yes, the temperature sensor is connected via a standard terminal block. You can replace it with any compatible PT100 or NTC sensor, provided you recalibrate the offset in the settings menu.
Q: Can I control this device remotely via software?
A: Absolutely. The unit features an RS485 interface supporting Modbus RTU protocol, allowing you to monitor and adjust settings from a PC using standard SCADA or custom software.
