Impressive stability

Perfect for my DIY cooling project

Good performance, instructions could be better
The unit itself is high quality and reaches target temperatures quickly. I deducted one star because the manual was a bit vague on wiring diagrams for dual power setups. Otherwise, solid product.

Great for educational kits

Works but runs hot
The controller functions well, but the board itself gets quite warm during extended cooling cycles. Make sure you have adequate ventilation or a heatsink attached.

Solid build quality
The casing feels durable and the digital display is bright and easy to read. Response time is quick. Just wish it came with mounting screws included.
Q: Is there a delay when switching from heating to cooling mode?
A: There is a configurable protection delay (default 3 minutes) to prevent compressor damage or rapid cycling. This can be adjusted in the advanced settings menu.
Q: Can I use this for controlling a fish tank heater?
A: While technically possible, please ensure the sensor and electronics are kept completely dry and outside the water. This unit is not waterproof and is designed for air or surface temperature monitoring.
Q: Can this controller handle a 24V power supply?
A: Yes, the TCB-NC model supports both DC 12V and 24V input voltages. Please ensure you select the correct voltage setting in the menu before connecting.
Q: Does it come with the temperature sensor?
A: Yes, the package includes one NTC thermistor sensor pre-calibrated for use with this specific PID algorithm.
Q: What is the maximum current this board can switch?
A: The relay output can handle up to 10A. For loads exceeding this, we recommend using an external solid-state relay (SSR) triggered by this controller.
