Solid performance

We are using three of these in our lab setup. They maintain setpoints very well. Would love to see a version with WiFi connectivity in the future.

Great value, minor display issue

Works exactly as described for our prototype testing. The only reason for 4 stars is that the OLED display angle is a bit narrow, but functionality is top-notch.

Best controller in this price range

I have tried several generic controllers, but this one offers the best stability. The digital PID really makes a difference compared to analog potentiometers.

Easy to integrate

Perfect for my DIY cooling project

The PID tuning is incredibly stable. I used this to control a small incubator and the temperature fluctuation is less than 0.1°C. The bidirectional feature works flawlessly.

Q: Does it come with the NTC sensor included?

A: The standard package includes the control board only. The NTC 10K thermistor sensor needs to be purchased separately or sourced from your existing inventory.

Q: Can this module drive a 12V 4A TEC directly?

A: Yes, the TCB-NE supports up to 5A continuous output, so it can safely drive a 12V 4A thermoelectric cooler.

Q: Is there a way to monitor the temperature remotely?

A: This specific model features a local OLED display. For remote monitoring, you would need to utilize the optional UART TTL interface to connect to a microcontroller or PC.

Q: What happens if the power polarity is reversed?

A: The board includes reverse polarity protection. If connected incorrectly, the unit will simply not turn on, preventing damage to the components.

Q: Can I use this for heating only applications?

A: Absolutely. While it supports bidirectional control, you can configure the PID parameters to operate strictly in heating mode if your application requires it.
