Arrived quickly and was wrapped very securely in bubble wrap and foam. No chips or cracks. The coarse pottery texture adds a nice rustic touch to my tea ceremony setup.

Beautiful craftsmanship
The glaze on this Ru kiln style lid is stunning. It has a nice matte finish that feels authentic. I deducted one star only because the diameter was slightly tighter than expected, but it still works.

Excellent quality Zisha
You can tell this is made from genuine Zisha clay. It breathes well and doesn't retain odors from previous teas. Highly recommend for serious tea drinkers.

Great addition to my tea collection
I bought this to mix and match with my existing teaware. The Sancai colors are vibrant yet earthy. It holds heat well during brewing sessions.

Perfect replacement for my broken set
I accidentally chipped the lid of my favorite gaiwan and was devastated. This lid fits perfectly! The blue and white pattern matches surprisingly well, and the weight feels substantial in the hand.

Nice but check measurements
The lid itself is gorgeous and well-made. However, make sure you measure your pot carefully before buying. It was a bit too small for my specific mug, though it works great on my smaller gaiwan.
Q: What is the difference between Zisha and regular porcelain?
A: Zisha (purple clay) is unglazed or partially glazed and is porous, allowing it to absorb tea oils and enhance flavor over time. Regular porcelain is non-porous, fully glazed, and neutral, making it ideal for tasting delicate teas without flavor retention.
Q: Is this lid dishwasher safe?
A: While the ceramic is durable, we strongly recommend hand washing to preserve the glaze and the natural properties of the Zisha clay over time.
Q: Will this lid fit a standard 100ml gaiwan?
A: Yes, this lid is designed with a diameter of approximately 7.5cm, which fits most standard 100ml to 120ml gaiwans. Please verify your specific vessel's inner rim diameter before purchasing.
Q: Can I use this lid for boiling water directly?
A: This lid is designed for brewing tea with hot water. While it is heat resistant, we do not recommend placing it directly on a stove flame or using it to boil water from cold.
Q: Does the blue and white pattern contain lead?
A: No, all our ceramics are fired at high temperatures using food-safe, lead-free glazes that comply with international safety standards.
