Great quality leaves

Good kit, minor packaging issue

The silkworms are healthy and the leaves were good, though one corner of the leaf package was slightly crushed. Still, enough food for the first week.

Q: How long do the included leaves last after arrival?

A: If stored in the refrigerator in a sealed bag with a damp paper towel, the starter leaves can stay fresh for up to 5-7 days.

Q: What happens if the eggs don't hatch?

A: Our eggs have a high hatch rate when kept at room temperature (25°C). If they do not hatch within 10 days of receipt, please contact us with your order number for a replacement or refund.

Q: Can these silkworms survive in winter?

A: This is a spring variety optimized for warmer temperatures. Keeping them alive in winter requires a controlled heated environment, which is difficult for beginners. We suggest ordering during spring or early summer.

Q: Is the rearing tray reusable?

A: Yes, the plastic rearing tray included in the kit is durable and can be washed and reused for future batches of silkworms.

Q: Do I need to buy more leaves immediately?

A: The kit includes enough leaves for the first instar (baby stage). As the silkworms grow, their appetite increases rapidly, so we recommend locating a local mulberry tree or purchasing our refill packs within 10 days.
