Works well but packaging was loose
The sensor itself functions perfectly and brought my dehumidifier back to life. However, the packaging was a bit flimsy, though the part arrived undamaged. Good value for a genuine part.

Good specs, easy to test
Tested the output with a multimeter and logic analyzer before installing. The I2C communication is stable and the data matches expected values for the given environment. Solid component.

High quality genuine part
You can tell this is a real Kawai/Kawashima component. The build quality is superior to the generic knock-offs I found elsewhere. Temperature and humidity response time is very fast.

Finally dry basement again
The old sensor was giving false low readings so the machine wouldn't turn on. This new RHI-112A corrected the issue and my basement humidity is back under control. Fast shipping too.

Perfect replacement for my dehumidifier
My Baiao unit stopped reading humidity correctly. This RHI-112A module was an exact fit. Installation took about 15 minutes and the readings are now accurate compared to my standalone hygrometer.

Saved my appliance
I was about to buy a new dehumidifier until I found this sensor module. It fixed the error code immediately. Highly recommend checking your sensors before replacing the whole unit.
Q: How do I know if my current sensor is faulty?
A: Common signs include the dehumidifier running continuously without collecting water, displaying incorrect humidity percentages, or showing specific error codes related to sensor failure listed in your manual.
Q: Can I use this for a DIY Arduino project?
A: While technically possible since it uses a digital interface, this module is optimized for specific dehumidifier control boards. Pinouts may differ from standard development boards, so refer to the datasheet.
Q: What is the warranty period for this sensor?
A: As a genuine product, this sensor comes with a standard 1-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
Q: Is this compatible with older Baiao models from 2018?
A: Yes, the RHI-112A is designed to be backward compatible with most Baiao dehumidifier models manufactured from 2015 onwards. Please check your specific model number in the user manual to be sure.
Q: Does this come with installation tools?
A: No, the package includes only the sensor module. You will need a small Phillips head screwdriver and possibly wire strippers depending on your specific unit's wiring configuration.
