Perfect for server rack assembly

Good quality, slight fit issue on thick panels

Overall great product. The build quality is solid and the knurling provides excellent grip. I found it slightly difficult to install on a 2.5mm panel, but once seated, it works flawlessly. Would recommend checking your panel thickness before ordering.

Decent but instructions could be clearer

The screws themselves work fine, but the packaging didn't include clear installation torque specs or a diagram. I had to look up a video to ensure I didn't over-rivet them. Once installed, they function as expected.

No more lost screws!

The main selling point for me was preventing lost screws inside the cabinet. These stay attached no matter how many times you open and close the door. Installation was straightforward using a simple rivet tool.

Q: Are these available in stainless steel?

A: Currently, this specific PF09/PF10 model is manufactured in cold rolled steel with zinc plating. We do offer stainless steel variants in our catalog, but they have different model numbers. Please contact us for a custom quote if you require stainless.

Q: What is the maximum torque these can withstand before stripping?

A: As hand-tightened fasteners, they are designed for manual torque application. Excessive force from power tools is not recommended and may damage the threads or the spring mechanism. They are rated for standard thumb-tightening forces.

Q: Do you sell replacement springs if the original loses tension?

A: The spring is integrated into the assembly and is not sold separately. If the spring loses tension or fails, the entire captive screw unit should be replaced to ensure safety and proper function.

Q: What tools are required to install these captive screws?

A: You will need a standard rivet setting tool compatible with the shank diameter. No screwdriver is needed for the final assembly as they are designed to be hand-tightened by the user after installation.

Q: Can these be used on plastic panels?

A: While technically possible, we do not recommend using rivet-type captive screws on brittle plastics as the riveting process may crack the material. They are best suited for metal chassis and sheets within the specified thickness range.
