Excellent craftsmanship
The finish is flawless and the strings were well-installed out of the box. I only needed minor tuning before playing. Highly recommend for students and intermediates.

Decent but needs setup
The instrument looks great, but the bridges were slightly misaligned upon arrival. After adjusting them myself, the sound improved significantly. Just be prepared to do some setup.

Good portable option
As someone who travels often, the compact size is perfect. It fits easily in my car. The sound is decent, though it lacks some of the deep resonance of my larger studio instrument.

Great value
For a 7-string model at this price point, you really cannot complain. The ebony accents look professional, and it stays in tune reasonably well after the initial stretch period.

Beautiful sound for the price
I was surprised by the quality of this Guqin. The Paulownia wood produces a very warm tone, and the ebony fingerboard feels smooth under the fingers. Great for daily practice.
Q: Can I use this outdoors?
A: While it is portable, we recommend avoiding extreme humidity or direct sunlight as these conditions can affect the wood and tuning stability over time.
Q: Does this come with a hard case or a soft bag?
A: This Guqin comes with a padded soft carrying case that offers good protection for transport and storage.
Q: What is the difference between this and a 5-string Guqin?
A: The 7-string version offers an extended range, allowing for two additional lower notes which provides more versatility for certain classical compositions and modern arrangements.
Q: How often do I need to change the strings?
A: Depending on how frequently you play, strings typically last 6 to 12 months. We recommend changing them when they lose brightness or become difficult to tune.
Q: Is this suitable for complete beginners?
A: Yes, absolutely. It comes pre-strung and includes a tuning key and basic instructions, making it ideal for those just starting their journey with the Guqin.
