Great professional instrument with minor setup needs

The craftsmanship on the MEIDASI PC-300 is impressive. The intonation is generally very good across all registers. It did require a slight adjustment out of the box to get the G# key perfectly aligned, but once set up by my tech, it plays beautifully. The case included is sturdy enough for gigging.

Upgrade from resin was worth it

Moving from a resin headjoint to this full ebony body was a game changer. The resonance is significantly better, and the dynamic range is wider. It handles pianissimo passages with ease while still having power when needed. Great value for a professional spec instrument.

Exceptional tone for the price

I bought this for my daughter who is preparing for her conservatory audition. The ebony body provides a much warmer and darker tone compared to her previous plastic piccolo. The silver plating on the keys is smooth and responsive. Highly recommended for serious students.

Beautiful wood grain and sound

Visually, this instrument is stunning. The grain on the ebony is tight and polished nicely. Sound-wise, it offers a rich palette of colors. I deducted one star only because the cleaning rod provided was a bit short for thorough maintenance, but that's a minor issue.
