Consistent results every time
I've gone through three sets of this kit now. The D76 formula is reliable and gives me the contrast I like for street photography. It's much cheaper than sending film out to a lab.

Good product, slow shipping
The chemicals themselves are top-notch and produced beautiful negatives. I only deducted a star because the package took a week longer than expected to arrive, but the product quality makes up for it.

Perfect starter kit for home developing
I finally took the plunge into developing my own black and white film, and this kit made it incredibly easy. The instructions were clear, and the chemicals mixed without any issues. My first roll came out crisp and grain-free.

Great value, strong smell on stop bath
The developer and fixer work flawlessly. The stop bath has a very strong vinegar smell, so make sure you have good ventilation in your darkroom or bathroom. Otherwise, excellent quality for the price.

Revived my love for analog
Using this kit was a nostalgic and rewarding experience. The F5 fixer worked quickly, and the hypo clearing agent ensured my films will last for decades. Highly recommended for hobbyists.
Q: How many rolls of 35mm film can I develop with one set?
A: One complete set of this kit can typically process up to 24 rolls of 35mm film if you reuse the developer according to standard dilution guidelines, though single-use yields the highest consistency.
Q: What is the shelf life once the powders are mixed with water?
A: Once mixed, the developer solution generally lasts about 4-6 weeks in a sealed, full bottle stored in a cool, dark place. The fixer and stop bath have a longer working life.
Q: Do I need to dilute the F5 fixer before using it?
A: Yes, the F5 fixer is a concentrate. Please refer to the included instruction sheet for the correct water-to-concentrate ratio, which is usually 1 part fixer to 4 parts water.
Q: Is this kit safe to use in a small apartment bathroom?
A: Yes, many users develop in bathrooms. However, ensure the room is well-ventilated, especially when using the stop bath, and always wear gloves to protect your skin.
Q: Can I use this for color film development?
A: No, this kit is formulated exclusively for black and white film. Color film requires a different chemical process (C-41) and specific temperature controls not provided by these chemicals.
