Perfect for custom call center solutions
The SDK documentation is surprisingly clear. I was able to integrate the polarity reversal detection into our internal CRM within a few hours. Hardware feels solid and the USB connection is stable.

Good but requires specific wiring
The device functions well, but make sure your telephone line wiring supports polarity reversal clearly. In older buildings, signal clarity varied. Works flawlessly in our new office though.

Great hardware, steep learning curve
The device works exactly as described for off-hook detection. However, if you aren't familiar with telephony signaling, the initial setup might take some time. Once configured, it's very reliable.

Solved our recording issues
Needed a way to automatically start recording when a call connects. This device handles the signal detection perfectly without any manual intervention. Highly recommended.
Q: What is the maximum cable length recommended between the device and the wall jack?
A: We recommend keeping the telephone cable under 15 meters (approx. 50 feet) to ensure signal integrity for accurate off-hook and polarity detection.
Q: Can this device handle VoIP lines directly?
A: No, the IP1-F is designed for traditional analog PSTN landlines. For VoIP, you would need to connect it to an Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) that provides an analog port.
Q: Is the polarity reversal detection automatic or does it need configuration?
A: It is automatic. The firmware detects the polarity change instantly upon call answer and sends the corresponding event flag to your application via the SDK.
Q: Does this support caller ID information extraction?
A: Yes, the IP1-F supports FSK and DTMF based Caller ID extraction, which can be accessed through the standard API functions included in the development kit.
Q: Does this kit come with example code for Python?
A: The primary SDK supports C++, C#, and Java. However, the community has created Python wrappers available on our developer forum that work effectively with the IP1-F model.
