Good but SD card sold separately
The unit itself is solid and connects easily to standard landlines. I wish the storage card was included in the box as I had to order it separately, causing a delay in setup.

Reliable recording for compliance
Been using this for three months on a UnionTech system. It never misses a call, and the file management is straightforward. Essential for our compliance records.

Sturdy build and clear audio
Very compact and fits neatly behind the phone. The voice activation sensor is sensitive enough to catch quiet conversations but doesn't trigger on background noise often.

Perfect for our office Linux setup
We deployed these across our customer service center running Kylin OS. The compatibility was seamless, and the auto-dialer feature saves us significant time. Highly recommended for domestic systems.

Great hardware, manual needs translation
The device works flawlessly with our Android-based PBX system. Audio quality is crisp. The only downside is the user manual is mostly in Chinese, but the support team helped us configure it quickly.

Excellent auto-dialer functionality
The programmable auto-dialer is a game changer for our follow-up calls. It integrates perfectly with our custom Linux environment without any driver issues.
Q: Is the auto-dialer compatible with VoIP lines?
A: The device is designed for traditional analog landline (PSTN) signals via the RJ11 port. If your VoIP system has an analog telephone adapter (ATA) port, it may work, but direct digital VoIP integration is not supported.
Q: Can I retrieve the recorded files remotely over the network?
A: This specific model stores files locally on the MicroSD card. To retrieve them, you must remove the card or connect the device via USB to a computer. It does not have built-in Wi-Fi for remote access.
Q: What happens if the power goes out during a call?
A: The device draws minimal power from the telephone line itself to maintain basic recording functions during short power outages, ensuring the call is still captured even if USB power is lost.
Q: How do I update the firmware for Android compatibility?
A: Firmware updates can be downloaded from our official website. You simply place the update file on the root of the MicroSD card, insert it into the device, and power cycle it to initiate the update.
Q: Does this device require specific drivers for Kylin OS?
A: No, the Xinchuang Recording Box is plug-and-play for Kylin and most domestic Linux distributions. It appears as a standard storage device once connected.
