Saved my printer
My original brass nozzle wore out quickly with glass-filled nylon. This hardened steel assembly handled it without any issues. The flow rate is consistent and layer adhesion is perfect.

Good but requires tuning
The hardware is solid, but I had to recalibrate my pressure advance settings after swapping to this hotend. Once tuned, prints look great, but beginners might find the adjustment process tricky.

Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
Switched to this hardened steel nozzle assembly for printing carbon fiber PLA and the difference is night and day. No wear after 500 grams of print. Installation on my X1 Carbon was straightforward following the official guide.

Great quality but pricey
The build quality is excellent and temperatures are very stable up to 280°C. I deducted one star only because the price is a bit steep compared to third-party options, but you get what you pay for in terms of reliability.
Q: How difficult is the installation process for a beginner?
A: The process involves heating the hotend, removing four screws, and swapping the unit. It takes about 15 minutes. We recommend watching our official video tutorial before starting.
Q: Does this come with a 0.4mm nozzle pre-installed?
A: Yes, the standard assembly ships with a 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle installed. Other sizes are available separately if needed.
Q: Can I use this to print TPU flexible filaments?
A: Absolutely. While the hardened steel is designed for abrasive materials, it works perfectly fine with flexible filaments like TPU at standard temperatures.
Q: Is this compatible with the Bambu Lab X1E model?
A: Yes, this hotend assembly is fully compatible with the X1E as it shares the same extruder architecture as the X1 and X1 Carbon.
Q: What is the maximum continuous operating temperature?
A: The assembly is rated for continuous operation up to 300°C. Short bursts up to 320°C are possible but not recommended for prolonged periods to ensure component longevity.
