Perfect for Carbon Fiber Filaments
I switched to this hardened steel nozzle specifically to print carbon fiber reinforced PLA. The standard brass nozzle wore out too quickly, but this one has been printing flawlessly for over 2kg of material without any degradation in quality.

Good but pricey
It works exactly as advertised and feels very premium. The only downside is the price compared to generic nozzles, but considering it's a whole assembly with sensors and heaters, it's worth it for the convenience.

Easy Swap Upgrade
The detachable design makes swapping hotends incredibly fast. I keep one for standard PLA and this one for abrasive materials. The installation took less than 5 minutes following the on-screen guide.

No More Clogs
Since installing this upgraded assembly, clogs have become a thing of the past. The internal geometry seems improved, and the hardened material prevents debris from sticking. Highly recommended for heavy users.

Essential Upgrade for P1S
If you plan on printing anything other than basic PLA, get this immediately. It handles glass-filled nylon like a champ. The high-temperature resistance gives me peace of mind when pushing the limits.

Solid Performance, Runs Hotter
Great build quality and very durable. Note that hardened steel conducts heat slightly differently than brass, so I had to tweak my temperature settings by about 5 degrees higher for optimal flow. Once dialed in, prints are perfect.
Q: Can I use this nozzle with food-safe filaments?
A: While the hardened steel itself is inert, food safety depends on the entire printing process and filament used. We recommend using certified food-safe filaments and ensuring the printer environment is clean, but we do not certify the final printed objects for food contact.
Q: How often should I replace this compared to a brass nozzle?
A: Hardened steel nozzles last significantly longer than brass, especially with abrasive filaments. While a brass nozzle might need replacement after 500g of carbon fiber filament, this hardened steel nozzle can typically handle several kilograms before showing signs of wear.
Q: Does this come with a 0.6mm nozzle option?
A: This specific SKU comes with a 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle pre-installed. However, the hotend assembly is designed to accept interchangeable hardened steel nozzles in 0.2mm, 0.4mm, 0.6mm, and 0.8mm sizes which can be purchased separately.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Bambu Lab X1 non-Carbon version?
A: Yes, this upgraded hotend assembly is fully compatible with both the Bambu Lab X1 and X1-Carbon models, as well as the P1S and P1P series.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate my printer after installation?
A: Yes, after swapping the hotend assembly, it is recommended to run the standard flow rate calibration and vibration resonance calibration in the printer settings to ensure optimal print quality with the new component.
