Good projection, slightly stiff
The semi-metal construction gives nice projection in a band setting. It felt a bit stiff at first compared to my hard rubber piece, but it broke in after a week of playing.

Excellent backup piece
I keep this in my gig bag as a backup. The semi-metal design holds up well against humidity changes during outdoor gigs. Highly recommended.

Great value for students
I bought the 5C facing for my student's alto sax. The tone is bright and responsive without being too harsh. It's a solid upgrade from the stock plastic mouthpiece.

Durable and consistent
I recommend these to my intermediate students. They are durable and provide a consistent sound. The cap fits snugly which protects the tip well.

Perfect for tenor sax
Using the 7C facing on my tenor. The intonation is surprisingly accurate across all registers. Very happy with this purchase for the price point.

Okay for beginners
It works fine for learning basics. The sound isn't as warm as expensive brands, but for a beginner mouthpiece, it gets the job done without breaking the bank.
Q: Is the 4C facing suitable for a soprano saxophone?
A: Yes, the 4C facing is available for soprano saxophones. Please ensure you select the 'Soprano' option from the dropdown menu when ordering to get the correct bore size.
Q: What is the difference between the 5C and 6C facings?
A: The number indicates the tip opening size; a 6C has a slightly larger tip opening than a 5C, allowing for more air volume and potentially louder dynamics, while requiring more breath control.
Q: How does the semi-metal material affect the sound compared to hard rubber?
A: The semi-metal construction typically produces a brighter and more projecting sound with a faster response, whereas hard rubber often yields a darker, warmer tone.
Q: Can I return this if the facing size doesn't work for me?
A: Yes, we accept returns within 30 days provided the item is unused and in its original packaging. Please note that hygiene reasons prevent returns on used mouthpieces.
Q: Does this mouthpiece come with a ligature?
A: No, this mouthpiece is sold without a ligature. You will need to use your existing ligature or purchase one separately that fits standard saxophone mouthpieces.
