Professional results for a low price
I've used expensive shielding paints before, but this foil is faster to apply and more reliable. One roll was enough to do two guitars. The hum elimination is exactly as described.

Good value pack
Solid copper foil that does the job. Make sure to clean your guitar cavity with alcohol before applying to ensure the best stick. Very happy with the noise reduction capabilities.

Great adhesion and conductivity
The adhesive is strong enough to stay put but allows for repositioning if you are careful. The conductive adhesive ensures a good ground connection without needing extra soldering in tight spots. Highly recommend for DIY guitar mods.

Silenced my single-coils completely
My Strat was humming like crazy in the studio. I lined the control cavity and pickup routes with this tape, making sure to overlap the edges for continuity. The difference is night and day. It's quiet as a mouse now even near my computer monitors.

Essential for home recording
I record at home with lots of electronics around, causing terrible interference. This tape solved the issue instantly. It's easy to cut with scissors and conforms well to curved cavity walls.

Works well, just take your time
The product itself is excellent quality copper. I deducted one star only because applying it neatly in a complex cavity takes patience. If you rush, you get wrinkles. But once installed, the noise reduction is fantastic.
Q: Is the adhesive safe for unfinished wood cavities?
A: Yes, the acrylic adhesive is safe for unfinished wood. However, we always suggest testing a small piece first if your guitar has a unique finish or sealant inside the cavity.
Q: Does this block interference from cell phones?
A: Yes, the high-conductivity copper creates a Faraday cage effect that significantly reduces interference from cell phones, Wi-Fi routers, and fluorescent lights.
Q: Will this fit inside a standard Stratocaster control cavity?
A: Yes, one roll contains plenty of tape to fully line the control cavity and pickup routes of a standard Stratocaster, Telecaster, or Les Paul style guitar with some leftover.
Q: Can this be used on bass guitars as well?
A: Absolutely. This copper foil shielding works effectively on any electric stringed instrument, including bass guitars, to reduce 60-cycle hum and radio frequency interference.
Q: Do I need to solder this tape to the ground wire?
A: While the adhesive is conductive, for the most reliable ground connection, we recommend soldering a small tab of the tape to your existing ground wire or ensuring significant overlap with grounded potentiometer casings.
